Competitive glider pilots also use portable GPS systems to prove that they have reached certain race markers. In addition, you can also find that watches and cameras are also equipped with portable GPS systems.

Portable GPS systems are very useful for people on vacation, since some of these devices have built-in cameras that can create photos with the latitude and longitude of the place where they were taken. Furthermore, it can also be used to track pets or valuables that may wander off. The technology of portable GPS systems has matured to the state where many devices can be equipped with GPS emitters and be tracked easily.
